Wavelength is an AI dating app with a small team. You own features end to end: the React Native app, the backend behind it, and the AI in the product. What you will build: the mobile app in React and React Native (Redux, Zustand or React Query for state, mobile-first and responsive, UI/UX best practices), the backend in Python FastAPI and Node/Express (REST APIs, WebSockets for real-time features, PostgreSQL and Redis schema design, security best practices), and the AI layer (LLM-based agents, prompt and agent workflows, AI features in the production app). Who this is for: a great problem solver with high agency and ownership who learns fast and adapts. You have shipped a mobile app to real users and owned the backend behind it. Good to have: 2 to 5 years of experience, consumer apps at scale, 0 to 1 startup work, App Store and Play Store releases, real-time chat or messaging systems. Infra: Docker, GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage), CI/CD, VMs and deployment automation.
