The role: faff (usefaff.com) is an AI personal assistant on WhatsApp - delegate chores like government work, household management, travel, appointments and bookings, and faff gets them done. There are 100 companies building voice agents that call a customer on behalf of a restaurant; no one is building voice agents that call the restaurant on behalf of the customer. You will build on the cutting edge - voice agents, browser agents, long-term memory - and help scale from 15 tasks per executive per day to over 100. Voice and search agents are already in production automating around half of all calls; you own your project end-to-end on a small founding team.
Who we are looking for: a great problem solver, quick learner and strong executor, typically with around 3 years of professional work experience and solid proof of it - live AI-native projects with significant traction. You have built and maintained long-horizon AI agents - custom orchestrators, voice, browser, or agentic search - and you pick up new technologies and ship products in weeks.
What helps: comfort with Python (FastAPI) and GCP/AWS; experience with browser agents (BrowserUse, Browserbase, Puppeteer automations) or custom long-term memory management architectures; and a fundamental understanding of classical machine learning alongside current tool-augmented reasoning and fine-tuning techniques.
