Junior Founding Engineer

The role: faff (usefaff.com) is an AI personal assistant on WhatsApp - delegate chores like government work, household management, travel, appointments and bookings, and faff gets them done. Voice and search agents are already in production, automating around half of the calls today. You will build voice agents, browser agents and long-term memory in production, own your project end-to-end, and work with the ops team to find deep pain points and solve them. We have built only 1% of the product's capabilities; you will see users rely on what you ship from day one.
Who we are looking for: you are early in your career (0-1 years of professional experience) but already dangerous - live AI-native projects with real users, solid proof of work, half-finished side projects you built because you wanted to use them. A great problem solver, quick learner and strong executor: you pick up new technologies and ship in weeks, not quarters.
What helps: comfort with Python (FastAPI) and GCP/AWS, experience building agents (voice, browser, or custom orchestrators), and fundamentals around tool-augmented reasoning and model fine-tuning.
